And  then Bundle 2 - the 4 new Alice in Wonderland stamps:

Any of the stamps in the February 2021 New Release Category are 15% off through February 8th, too! Want to see some of the new stamps in action? First I have the Poppy Arrangement, which was colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the With Sympathy set (previously released).

Next up, we have a little entertainment theme going on. This Popcorn stamp, combined with one of the sentiments from the Go to the Movies Set, is definitely a favorite of mine!

Next up, the Dodo image from the Alice in Wonderland stamps is a ton of fun! I paired my Dodo with one of the sentiments from the Alice in Wonderland Quotations (previously released):

Next up is the Wine a Little stamp, with the Artistic Swipe Stamp behind it. The artistic swipe is great for adding a splash of color - one or more - in an easy way.

Next up is the All a Girl Needs stamp, which was layered over a Delicate Doodles Background (previously released). Both pieces were colored with Dragon's Blood, Wine Stain and Just Squeezed Shimmering Bliss

And finally, I have the A Little More You stamp, which was colored with Copic Markers and is layered over a Drizzle Dots Background (previously released).

Black and Silver Bah Humbug

As we get closer to Christmas, I vacillate between Bah Humbug and Happiness. I won't be seeing my kids this year in person, but have had immense joy in texting and calling them this holiday season. So this is my last Bah Humbug card for this year - and I hope it actually makes you smile.

I used the Bah Humbug stamp, with a Shining Star Stencil background that was sprayed with Silver Shimmering Bliss.

Hope YOUR holidays are happy!

November 2020 New Stamp and Stencil Release

Today is release day at Technique Junkies, and we have 15 new stamps and 2 new stencils for you! And, as usual, they are 15% off through November 8th, too!

Today I am going to highlight artwork form the stencils from the release! Here are a few samples for you:

The first sample uses the new Champagne Flutes stencil with the New Year New Hope stamp. I used Glitter Paint through the stencil and this is just super sparkly and gorgeous in person!

The card above was made using the Coffee Beans stencil with the Love Laughter and Coffee Stamp. Some days my life revolves around coffee!
I know the Perk Up Soon focal image here was released previously, but I couldn't help but to show you how great the Coffee Beans Stencil was with the Glitter Paint, too. Plus - I used the Coffee Stains stamp on the top portion of this card!

And finally, I have a Hanukkah release this month. One set of sentiments (one for the inside and one for the outside of the card) called Happy Hanukkah, set of 2, plus one background stamp with Judaic images called Judaica background. I LOVE finally having stamps to make cards for my Jewish friends!

The TJ Design Team has banded together to inspire you with artwork from the new release, too. Here are the links to their beautiful designs:

Ice Crystal Jingle Bells

The Technique Junkies Jingle Bells Stencil pairs perfectly with the Joyful Jingles stamp. The stencil looks great with the Ice Crystals Foil which was applied with ThermOWeb Transfer Gel Duo.  No heat required with the Duo Gel!

Have fun with this one!

Here is the artwork piece made from the tutorial:

October 2020 New Stamp Release!

Today is release day at Technique Junkies, and I am pleased to announce that we have 15 new stamps and 2 New stencils to show you! In addition, we have two guest designers - Beverly Sizemore and Shirley Hotop - joining our release celebration. Make sure to visit their blogs and enjoy their talent! Links to all of the participating designers are below the artwork.

As usual, all of the new stamps are 15% off through October 8th. If you love them all, consider the "Gotta Have It All" Bundle - you will save over $36.00!

I have a few more pieces of artwork to show you today -- and much more to come in the weeks ahead, too. Here are a few to look at today:

The piece above uses the Holy Night Silent Night focal stamp over background that uses the new Shining Star Stencil. This couldn't have been easier!

This next piece uses the Christmas Tree Sextuplet stamp with the Dotted Merry Christmas stamp. The trees were colored with pearly watercolors -- they are awfully pretty in person!

Outside

Finally, you may have seen the new Bah Humbug stamp on some of the other blogs or email. I thought that the cat image was perfect to pair with the Inside Out: 12 Cookies Stamp Set. The top is the outside of the card -- the bottom is the inside.  I think the cat's eyes show its enthusiasm perfectly!

I hope you find a few new things you love!

Broom in a Vortex

Did you ever have an idea for something that you just couldn't let go of, even if it didn't pan out the first 7 times you tried to make it work? That, my friends, is this card. I wanted an orange-on-black Vortex (using the Vortex Stencil) for my card and I didn't want to do it with embossing powder.  I sprayed through the stencil. Used Distressed Oxides through the stencil. Used some paint through the stencil. I used other media through the stencil. Nothing looked good to me...not what I wanted.

So to get here, after all that...I put VersaMark through the stencil and embossed it with an Orange Embossing Powder. Just what I didn't want to do! I was trying too hard...but knew when to get back to basics to make it work.

Doesn't the Vortex Stencil look a little like a hurricane wind? Something about this   when it is combined with the Mile on My Broom stamp just gives me that Wizard of Oz vibe.  Is it just me? I'll have to try that with the Wisdom of Oz stamps - but this time I will START with the embossing powder!

Leaves, Dragonflies, and a little bit of heaven

This is another dipping card -- ink puddles were created on a craft mat, then the Leaves and Dragonflies stamp was dipped into it.  I love the subtle color; it is a perfect backdrop for the deep red cardstock die cuts and Heaven in our Hearts sentiment.

Mandalas and the Witch Switch

The Technique Junkies Beautiful Mandala stamp has so many beautiful uses! I like this double colored effect. To make this simple, I inked the medallions with orange first, then went around around the outer edges of the stamp with black ink.Just make sure to clean the stamp off between inking and stamping. Perfect for the Witch Switch stamp, don't you think?

Wicked Spider Web

This is one of those cards that started as one thing and became another.  First I started with that background. If you look closely (and I have a close up below), you will notice the brick wall outline in shimmer. I made a brick wall background a week or so ago, and after I sprayed, I put the shimmery sprayed Brick Wall Stencil on top of this wine-colored paper. I then stamped the S578 Spider Web background over it with black ink. I then added the Wicked Halloween sentiment and a die-cut spider - and viola! A card emerged.

It always makes me very happy when I can get a two-fer like I did with the Brick Wall Shimmer. It's Wicked Good : )

Leaf Circles in ink puddles

I love dipping stamps into multiple puddles of ink to make watercolored, color-filled backgrounds. That is how the Leaf Circles Background  was made. It is soft and so pretty -- heard to believe it is the same as the image below - It is amazing how using little light-colored inks can change how the image looks:

The sentiment is from the Modern Encouragements Set

Celebrate Diversity

Today I am celebrating diversity. It is always a good thing to remember that we are all valuable, and we need to take care of and protect everyone around us. Everyone has different opinions and viewpoints, and instead of tearing each other apart, we should be celebrating and embracing our differences. Love one another. Respect one another. Listen to each other. Learn from one another. That is the only way we can be better, learn and grow.

The card today uses the Celebrate Diversity Set of 6  with the Faces of Diversity Background.  Here is a close up:

Here is one I love, called Summer Barn. I used Pastel Pencils to color my barn and sunflowers:

The next piece I have  uses Modern Dandelions, with the Make a Wish sentiment from the Wish upon a Starfish Stamp. The Dandelions were traced over with the Neon Gel Pens from the Gel Pen Pack of 48, and the Make a Wish sentiment was traced over with the black glitter marker from the same set:

In this piece, I used the Tropical Palm Fronds background stamp with the (previously released)  Five Fab Phrases Sentiment Stamp:

Next I have the Wish Upon a Starfish for you on Kraft Paper, colored with colored pencils:

And finally, one more - This one is called Stays at the Beach:
