Put on the Hat

Some days, don't we all feel like this? I had fun creating this Put on the Hat focal image over my stenciled Bats. The Bats Stencil is from A Colorful Life Designs, available  from Technique Junkies HERE.

Hope you don't need to put on YOUR hat today!

Bright and Cheerful Foliage

Fall colors....I just love them. I think I might have overdone the color here, but it is how fall looks to me every year - full of bright autumn colors that make my heart sing.  I love fall -- it is my favorite season.

My Modern Foliage stamp was colored with Copic Markers and topped with the Leaves Turn Sentiment.  It's a nice reminder to slow down and appreciate life, isn't it?

Both stamps are from the September 2019 Technique Junkies stamp release.

Have a great day!

Colorful Pumpkin

I love the Drizzle Dots from the September Release. They are very versatile - whether used vertically or horizontally, they can be subtle or strong.  In my rendition here, I wanted to emulate blowing wind - I think that was accomplished! I simple swiped ink in different colors over the background and stamped it over my masked Pumpkin stamp (colored with Copics). The sentiment from the Autumn (Set of 6) Set was stamped over the top with Black StazOn.

It might be a bit busy, but I like it anyway! The Pumpkin and the Drizzle Dots are from the Technique Junkies September 2019 release; the Autumn set was released last fall.

Have a colorful day!

Apples and Blessings

I just love the Apples Background from artist JanTink at #mittenstatestamps that was created for Technique Junkies! It is such a beautiful background. Covering it even a little was hard, so I made the sentiment a little transluscent.

After I colored the apples with Copic Markers, I painted a piece of acetate with a light layer of gesso on the back. The Blessings greeting from the Autumn Framed Sentiments Set over the top with Timber Brown StazOn before attaching it to the apples background.  I love the effect!

Both of the stamps used in the example are from the Technique Junkies September 2019 release.

Hope you are having a great day full of blessings, too!

I was very inspired this month, and I will be sharing my work through out September. Here is a taste of what I have made:

The card above uses the Walk Through Fire stamp. This stamp is close to my heart, and the sentiment on it really resonated with me. The sentiment is inspirational and wonderful to celebrate people who have overcome the hardships of cancer (and now, heart disease, if colored in red). The main image was colored with Copic markers and the background uses the Ink Blended Stencils Technique (from this week's youtube video) with the Mosaic Path Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs

The world is a better place with our furry friends! Dogs have an unlimited capacity for love and friendship, and we would all be better if we had that same capacity! The background uses the Raining Love Stencil with Fuchsia and Rose Pastel IZINK Diamonds. I put a little of the Diamonds through the stencil on another piece of paper, then cut that out to put it in the center of the Hearts like Dogs image. My puppy was colored with Copic markers.

What would ANY of my releases be with some humorous stamps? I just couldn't resist this one! I used the Paw Prints Background (previously released) under the Many Paws image. I colored my cats with colored pencils. Don't we all know someone who collects cats who this would be perfect for?

This card uses the Tree Rings background. I colored the Tree Rings with Copic Markers, then sprayed over them with Mixed Metal Shimmering Bliss. The Blessings sentiment is from the Autumn Framed Sentiments set.

Finally, I have this Sweeter stamp...I see it as a birthday stamp for a very good friend! If nothing else, it will make you laugh. The background uses the Grunge Dots stencil and my lady was colored with Copic markers.

Well, that is it from me today -- I hope you take the time to visit the designers blogs to see what they have made. Make sure that you take advantage of the 15% discount on the new stamps before the 8th, also.

Happy Stamping!
