Kittens are angels

 This cute ink-blended Kitty Face Stencil in the background from @acolorfullifedesigns is just perfect! I topped it today with one of the sentiments from the Time Spent with Cats set, and the cat from the Little Black Cat stamp. To "erase" the sentiment from the Little Black Cats stamp, I cut it out, then applied more black ink over the cat to make it a solid black. The stencil and stamps are here:

Nurses are Angels...

 Nursing is such a noble calling - something I couldn't do, but I have mad respect for those who can and do! Several years ago my son was ill and the nurses that cared for hime are a very large part of how well he recovered.

Today's super-simple card uses one of the sentiments from the Time Spent with Cats set along with Patterned paper. How could I pass up using this retro-fun kitty paper? The stamp is here:

The Horse's Motion

 

The spirit of the horse really shines through with this, doesn't it? The motion feel is boosted with the use of the Rays Embossing Folder (Time Holtz). The folder was inked with brown ink before being embossed, resulting in highlights from the folder's crevices. After putting this together it was sprayed with the Antique Pearl IZINK Dye Spray from Aladine for an all-over shimmer. The Technique Junkies Horse Linograph stamp and spray may be found here:

Tuesday Margarita

 Margarita. I am not a huge drinker, but I do love a splash of tequila from time to time!

I used the woman from the deconstructed Need a Crown stam and paired her with the A Margarita stamp. The Make Lemonade background was stamping in green over a Aladine IZINK Dye Ink Spray background. The stamps and sprays may be found here:

Lap Therapist

 Who hasn't needed the comfort of a furry friend? Whether your animal of choice is a cat, dog, or other mammal, there is something very zen about having them on your lap, exchanging love and pets. I know I have buried my face in dog fur many times when I was in need!

Red White and Blue Birthday

 

The new Star and Flourish Birthday Stamp has such a happy vibe, doesn't it? Today I paired it with the Hanging Stars stamp. As I was making this I realized that the red, white and blue color scheme makes it looks a little 4th-of-Julyish. I just so happen to have a brother born on July 4th, so I will be holding this card aside for him - it's nice to have something made in advance! For the Love of Giraffes

 Giraffes are my favorite animals! Today's card celebrates everything about my long-necked friends. I used the new Giraffe Border stamp, the Savannah Giraffes stamp, then I deconstructed the Advice from a Giraffe stamp and cut apart the sentiments. I layered that on some giraffe print paper I had in my stash. I know its a bit funky, but I love it nonetheless! All stamps by Technique Junkies and may be found here:

Valentine Friend

 Today is Valentine's Day - a great day for love! It's important, also, to remember that not everyone has a partner to celebrate with. Today's card is for a very special friend who is not partnered - but needs to be celebrated just the same! I used non-Valentine colors for my card today - just a celebration of the person, not the day. The background stamp is the new Greek Tapestry background from Technique Junkies, and the sentiment is from the Dear Friend sentiments (set of 5). Both stamps are here:

Colorburst dancers

 It has been a while since I pulled out my Colorburst and I had a blast using them! The background of the African Dancers stamp from TJ uses a variety of colors. Instead of using water, I used Aladine IZINK Goldmine Dye Ink Spray to make the colors move! The end result is colorful and sparkly - I highly recommend using ink sprays this way! Today I have one more quick card to share with you, using one of the sentiments from the African Proverbs stamps set. Today I paired it with the Still Beautiful stamp. What I love about these proverbs is that you can pair them with so many things - the wisdom they impart is universal!
