September 2019 New Stamp Release!

I am so happy to share the new September 2019 stamps with you! We have 15 new stamps being released today, and I am happy to offer you 15% off the purchase of any of the new stamps. Simply add the new stamps to your shopping art and they will be discounted automatically (but hurry! The 15% discount ends September 8th).

Our team is also celebrating the new release by sharing their artwork; you won't want to miss the beautiful creations that they have in store for you. I have artwork to share with you, too, but Here is a list of the participating designers before we get started:

I was very inspired this month, and I will be sharing my work through out September. Here is a taste of what I have made:

The card above uses the Walk Through Fire stamp. This stamp is close to my heart, and the sentiment on it really resonated with me. The sentiment is inspirational and wonderful to celebrate people who have overcome the hardships of cancer (and now, heart disease, if colored in red). The main image was colored with Copic markers and the background uses the Ink Blended Stencils Technique (from this week's youtube video) with the Mosaic Path Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs

The world is a better place with our furry friends! Dogs have an unlimited capacity for love and friendship, and we would all be better if we had that same capacity! The background uses the Raining Love Stencil with Fuchsia and Rose Pastel IZINK Diamonds. I put a little of the Diamonds through the stencil on another piece of paper, then cut that out to put it in the center of the Hearts like Dogs image. My puppy was colored with Copic markers.

What would ANY of my releases be with some humorous stamps? I just couldn't resist this one! I used the Paw Prints Background (previously released) under the Many Paws image. I colored my cats with colored pencils. Don't we all know someone who collects cats who this would be perfect for?

This card uses the Tree Rings background. I colored the Tree Rings with Copic Markers, then sprayed over them with Mixed Metal Shimmering Bliss. The Blessings sentiment is from the Autumn Framed Sentiments set.

Finally, I have this Sweeter stamp...I see it as a birthday stamp for a very good friend! If nothing else, it will make you laugh. The background uses the Grunge Dots stencil and my lady was colored with Copic markers.

Well, that is it from me today -- I hope you take the time to visit the designers blogs to see what they have made. Make sure that you take advantage of the 15% discount on the new stamps before the 8th, also.

Happy Stamping!

Face the Sunshine

Sunflowers...everyone loves them, I think. For most of use, they represent the warmth of the sun, hope, and beauty. The Face the Sunshine stamp above features a sunflower, along with the sentiment: "Be like the sunflower: Even on the darkest days, stand tall and find the sunlight."

I colored the sunflower stamp with Copic markers, and added pumpkin glitter to the center of the flower. The background uses an embossing folder that I thought simulated beams of sunshine.

I think the stamp is a great reminder to keep positive and look for the good in everything!
Have a great day.

More Mums

I love the new Elegant Mums Background. I think it has so much potential for coloring. I hope you saw the post this week for the Blog Hop, where I showed one way to use this stamp, along with so many other of the April Releases.

There is a little story about the image above. Every time I make a new stamp, I ink the first image that comes out of the rubber stamp "oven" vulcanizer). When I made the April stamps, I used a Denim Blue Distress Ink pad, because it was close at hand and convenient. I stamped all the images, set aside the paper (VERY satisfied with the results), and kept "ccoking."

Just a day or so ago, I came across that sheet and decided to use some of those initial images. The image above was one of them - the first image from the first stamp off the line.

All I did to finish this image was to color it with Distress Markers.   Its very easy to color -- and I can't wait to use it with other color schemes!

The sentiment is an older image called Afraid to Do.

Remember that the April Release Stamps are on sale through Friday, April8th. Get yours today!

Welcome! If you arrived here from Robin's Blog for the Technique Junkies Release Day Blog Hop, you are in the right place! If you started here, I urge you to stop and go back to the beginning of the hop, to the Design Team Blog so that you don't miss anything!

First up is the new Jazz Singer stamp layered over the new Mosaic Scallops background. I colored each of the images with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the TJ line, and is called All Stars.

The second piece here uses the new Bulls Eye Blooms Background under the new Bear with Flowers image. I used the existing Sentimental Sayings set to add a final touch to this card.
The floral above uses the Elegant Mums background, with the existing Live in the Present stamp as a sentiment, The background for the mums was simply sprayed with Art Anthology Colorations.
Finally, the Saxophonist stamp was the perfect image to use with the Palettini Vintage Music background.

I hope you have been inspired today by today's hop. Make sure to stop by the store to get your 15% off the new April Releases!

August Release Blog Hop

Welcome! Today is August 1st, and here at Technique Junkies Stamps, we have a baker's dozen of new stamps ready for you! To celebrate, we are hosting a blog hop so that you can see some of the great new stamps in action. After the hop, go shop -- all AUGUST release stamps are 15% off! You can find them HERE.

If you arrived here from Kathy Stacy's blog ( http://craftynurse4u.wordpress.com), congratulations, you have seen all of the blogs - I hope you are feeling inspired! If  THIS is your first stop, then I urge you  to head over to the Design Team blog at techniquejunkies.blogspot.com to start from the beginning.

Here are my offerings for today:
This piece uses the new Lanterns and the Always Hope stamps as the main stamps. For the background, I used the Marble Paper stamp to add more color.

The second card uses the Paw Prints stamp over a Herringbone background (Designer Paper Perfection CD). I love how the multicolored background sets off the simple stamp so well!

I hope that you have been inspired by the hop today. I love our new stamps, and I hope you do too!

July Release Blog Hop

Welcome! Today is release day for Technique Junkies, and we are celebrating with a blog hop.  If you came here from Kathy Stacy's blog, you are in the right place. If not, start the hop on the Design Team blog so that you don't miss a thing: http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com .

On the Design Team blog, I posted one card using the Stargazer background. I love that background, and I think it makes pretty great Day Lilies, too!  To make this card, I stamped the Stargazers, then sprayed the background with Timeless, Grass, and Sandcastle Art Anthology Colorations. After that was dried, I used Distress Markers to add highlights and lowlights to the flowers.

The Sentiment is from the Word Set (released in June). I find myself saying this all the time...I couldn't help myself, I had to make it into a stamp!

I hope you enjoyed the hop today -- remember to use the 15% discount before July 8th.
And enjoy the long weekend, too!

Beautiful and Brilliant Peacock

If you receive my weekly email, you know that the last one explored different ways to use the same stamp. Of course, there is only so much room in that email...so I have some extras to share with you!

Today I am sharing one that uses the Gelatos Smoosh technique from the Bodacious Backgrounds CD. It is such an easy technique, and you can get such pretty colors from it.  If you have the CD, take a look! If not, the CD is only $9.95, and all CDs are 20% off this week, too! Click here to see all the CDs.

The stamps used are Peacock Feathers and Beautiful and Brilliant (both from Technique Junkies, of course!).

May Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the hop! If you have come from Jeri's blog, you are in the right place.  I hope you have enjoyed all of the gorgeous artwork!  If this is your first stop, I urge you to start at the beginning on the Design Team Blog (http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com). The designers have outdone themselves.

Today we are celebrating the May Stamp releases on www.techniquejunkies.com!  We have 35 new stamps, including 11 new stamps from the Palettini line. We are so excited about these new stamps, and we want to share the excitement with a GREAT discount. From now through next Friday, take 15% off all May Release stamps! To find them, click on New Stamps, then May Releases on the sidebar. I hope you love them as much as I do!

The card above uses the Rose Urn (P028) Stamp from the Palettini Line. I colored it with pastel pencils, and added a little shading with distress inks to age the piece a bit. I toyed with adding a sentiment, then decided that this makes a great note card for almost any occasion,

The second card here, which was featured in the TJ Inspirations email (if you are not receiving the email, contact me on phuntoon@optonline.net and I will add you). I used the new Winning Hand Stamp from the Palettini line, along with the Old Card Players stamp (SDX060). The Wasted Background (P020) seemed perfect for this card, along with the Diamonds (S278) cards as an accent.

I hope you have enjoyed the hop -- and I hope you love the new stamps as much as I do!!
Go save 15% on the new stamps!

The card above uses two of the most-ordered stamps this week: Whatcha Doin'? (SDX052) and Kitty Watching (SD635). Criss-cross Washi

Yup. Another washi Tape piece.  This time, I use the washi as a backdrop for my focal-point stamp. Again, this one is on the CD (Washi Tape+Ribbons, on sale HERE for 15% for one more day). I used a new stamp: Stand Tall, #SD   for my main image.  I just added it to my site today!  The image was colored with markers.
I love giraffes, so this card -- and the stamp -- is one of my favorites. Very dimensional in person, too.  Check out that CD!

Happy stamping,

Washi Tape Birthday Banners

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. Ideas that just work -- things that don't take hours to do. I love this technique - Washi Tape Banners from the Washi Tape + Ribbon CD --  for just that reason.  Simple, fun and effective.

Don't forget that the Washi Tape CD is on sale right now for 15% off. to get the discount, you must order it from this page:  http://www.stampcamp.com/specialty-cds.html. The CD is normally only $9.95; with the discount it is only $8.46 plus shipping. Quite the bargain! Hurry, though,  the CD will only be on sale through the stroke of midnight on Friday.

The great thing about this CD is that there are 33 ways to use Washi Tape. Are they hard? No...but that's the idea. You will use that tape in ways you most likely wouldn't have thought of.  Let me help you use that stash!

Are you on my mailing list? Every Friday I am sending out an email with tips, techniques, ideas and discounts -- make sure that you are subscribed to it!  If you are not and you want to be on it, send me an email and I will add you: phuntoon@optonline.net.

The only stamp used on this card was Happy Birthday, #SD577. It is only $3.50 and can be found HERE.  Happy stamping!

Day 17 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Today I bring you a simple card made by layering stamp over stamp. I used the Silent Night (S399)music stamp as a base, and stamped the Vintage Botanicals Holly (S334)  stamp over the top:

The base of the piece is a red mirrored cardstock that has been embossed with a snowflake folder. It is very dimensional in person.  I love this layered look -- I hope you do, too!
