On Tuesday I posted a tutorial for the Rainbow Cuttlebug Technique and posed a challenge to you to create a card using the technique. There are 9 fabulous entries in the slideshow below -- and one of you has won 3 issues of the Technique Junkie Newsletter! In addition, I had a chance to create one more card (on the right) and came up with a slight variation to the technique. Since we are in the midst of the TJ Holiday Blogstravaganza, it is a Holiday-themed card, of course!
I used the same technique, but I "changed it up" it a little bit. First, I started with WHITE cardstock, ran the embossing folder and cardstock through the CB, and then flipped it over, to work on the "wrong" side of the embossed piece -- the holly is debossed, instead of being raised. That was brayered with a "fruitcake" Kaleidacolor pad. Then the leaves were colored with marker, then painted with crystal effects so that they are shiny (like the real thing). The berries are colored with Stickles. It is the same technique, but I think the effect is VERY different. (Stamp: Artistic Outpost)
Here is the slideshow for the cards entered in the contest -- all were fabulous!
And the winner of the contest is....Celina Loyer! Celina's name was randomly chosen to win three additional issues of the TJ Newsletter. Congratulations!
