Bash Day 17: Pretty as a Peacock

Welcome to the 17th day of our month-long birthday bash. We are giving away something every day during the month of October 2012  to celebrate 10 years of the Technique Junkie Newsletter!
Simple Fold Album, Closed
It is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Club Scrap/Club Stamp. I have subscribed for years (June 2002 was my first!) and I find them to be the most beautiful and elegant of all of the things in my (extensive) stash. And today, I am going to share it with YOU! The winner of today's giveaway will receive a Club Stamp kit! You will receive all of the lavish papers and goodies that come with the kit for a month. You don't need to be a scrapbooker, either (but you can be, of course), because everything you will receive is geared toward stampers. It also includes a cool project with all the materials. You will be amazed by this kit, I assure you!
Simple Fold Album, Open
The little scrapbook you see above was made with the October Club Scrap Kit. This whole Album took me less than an hour to make, and truth be told, 1/2 hour of that was searching for and printing the pictures! This is the Simple Fold Album from the Technique Junkie Mini Album Mania CD.  The coolest thing about this little album? It used so few supplies that I can make MANY more things from my kit!

Here is what the book looks like when you open it (the full page opened is above):

Okay, now it is your turn. To win the Club Stamp kit, just leave your name and email address in the comments. My random number generator will select one lucky comment and that person will be lavished with the Club Scrap/Club Stamp experience! Good luck!

The winner of thie Giveaway is Leslie G  Congrats, Leslie!

Serenity in Herringbone

I am a lucky girl. Club Scrap asked me to be the guest blogger for them today. I was please to create a mini album using the September Serenity kit. You can see the album -- and all of the pages, on the Club Scrap Blog. I used the Pocket Flip Album from the Mini Album Mania CD. Go look at the pages on the CS blog!

I love the kit I was working with. It is a beautiful, melodious kit (can you call a pack of paper melodious? This one "sang" top me, so I think you can!). After making the album (and yes, I included a link to the pdf to make the album right in the post) I still have a ton of paper left to make more pages, albums and cards.  That is the beauty of Club Scrap -- it really is a very good value.

This is  a card that I made from the scraps after the album was done. It uses the Herringbone Technique (December 2005 Technique Junkie Newsletter), the Frayed Ribbon Technique (August 2012 issue) and the Brush Wash Technique (from October 2002's issue).

Okay, finally, if you have been thinking about the CD, you should know that the index to the CD is available on the TJ homepage, or the Mini Album Mania Page. The index has a picture of each of the 35 projects on the CD.  I hope you will consider it -- the $14.95 (plus shipping) for the CD is well worth it!

Many thanks to Club Scrap for hosting me today!

All of the participants in this hop created albums using tutorials from the Mini Album Mania CD. The CD contains 35 Mini Album tutorials in pdf format, created to print on 8-1/2"x 11" paper. The ideas are wonderfully creative and come in all shapes and sizes!  You can order your CD right here:
The album I am showing you today is the Gatefold Accordion Album. This neat album does not need any sort of binding tool -- you create your own! The pages fold into one another, creating a gorgeous flap-type effect. Here are some more views for you (click on any of these images to see them close up).

The sample above is the Toe-Jammer album. Isn't it FUN? This is a great album to make after a beach vacation, to give to a hostess, and just plain as a conversation keepsake piece. This Album took me less than 3 hours to complete! Here are some more views of the album (click on any of the samples to make them bigger:

This Cd was the most fun to work on out of any of the CDs we have done so far.  Hope you will consider joining us on our Mini Album Mania Adventure!
