Today I have a pretty Poinsettia Card for you! I love poinsettias. I think they are a beautiful symbol of the Christmas Season, So I am thrilled with this beautiful 4-piece Poinsettia Set. My card is fairly simple; I colored the poinsettias with colored pencils, cut them out, then popped them onto the card front.  It's a little difficult to see in the picture, but I traced over the Warmest Wishes sentiment with a Glitter Pen to add more shimmer to the finished piece. I will be coloring plenty of these for my own cards!

The card above uses the Fresh Chevron background. I created an Ombre' effect by applying three colors of stains directly to the stamp:

The first color was applied to the top 1/3 of the stamp, directly to the rubber.

The next color was applied to the center portion, direct to stamp.

The final color was added to the bottom 1/3 of the stamp.

Spray the stamp lightly with water and stamp onto watercolor paper. Use a heat tool to dry piece fully.

The focal point of the stamp is a new November stamp called Doxie's Guilt Trip.  I just think it is the cutest stamp! I added a ribbon around Doxie's neck and added the Merry Christmas 2 stamp so the Doxie can help us celebrate the season!

Day 29 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Today's post is one of my favorites. I wish I could capture the brilliance and shine of this card with the camera! For the Folk Art Background (#S454) I used a variation of an old favorite technique - PE Gloss from December 2005. The top stamp uses t0he Peace on Earth Stamp (#SD429), which was embossed with a Moonglow embossing powder. Day 27 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Todays  I am happy to pair a non-Christmas stamp set with a Christmas sentiment to create my card.  The presents were created using the Whimsy Squared Stamp Set (#SS025). I embossed each of the squares with different metallic embossing powders, and popped them on the background.

Today I am using a variety of stamps to create my own wrapping paper -- on these little presents. I used the Plaid (#S421), Big Swirls (#S427), Star Net (#S093) and Star Power (#S147) to create my packages. I stamped the Merry Christmas Stamp from the NEW Holidays 2 Flourish Sentiments above the gifts (#SS043).  Each of the Gifts are popped up and tied with a bow.  It a rather dimensional card, but the picture does not do it justice!

Day 19 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Welcome to Day 19 of the 30 Days of Christmas! Whether you are a Black Friday shopper or not, you can't help but to have the holidays on your mind now -- so let's celebrate together!  I am happy to bring you this Christmas Dove (S471) today.  I stamped the dove over blue cardstock and embossed it in silver, adding red highlights with metallic rub-ons.

Day 18 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are enjoying your day of thanks. Here is today's 30 for the 30 days of Christmas:

This card simply uses the Snowflakes set. You can get the snowflakes as one big background, or each of the 16 stamps individuallycut for you. You can find it HERE: S235. The Magic of Christmas sentiment can be found on the same page. I embellished this card with some glittery red snowflakes.

Day 17 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Today I bring you a simple card made by layering stamp over stamp. I used the Silent Night (S399)music stamp as a base, and stamped the Vintage Botanicals Holly (S334)  stamp over the top:

The base of the piece is a red mirrored cardstock that has been embossed with a snowflake folder. It is very dimensional in person.  I love this layered look -- I hope you do, too!

Day 15 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Welcome! Two weeks have gone by and we are halfway through the 30 days of Christmas. I have been out of town for the last 4 days, so if you missed the last four postings, you can catch up here: patstamps.blogspot.com.
Today we are celebrating the Angel Choir Stamp (#S592). I colored this stamp with regular markers, very simply in yellows, blues and gold.  Then I took the Peace Stamp from the Christmas Words set (#SS029), stamped and colored it, cut it apart and oriented it horizontally. That is what is great about those stamps -- they can be used vertically of horizontally.
