Christmas in July - last few days!

Today for Technique Junkies' Christmas in July I have a fun card using the Santa Checks stamp.  I colored her with colored pencils, fussy cut her, and popped her over my background.  The Poinsettias in the back use Framboise Dye Ink blended through one of the Layered Mandala Stencil pieces. I used Miel ink through one of the layers, too, but it really doesn't show that well online - though it is subtle and pretty in person!

Christmas in July: Christmas Mug Shot

When we put this stamp out, I underestimated how many people it would resonate with! As long as there are cats and indoor trees, this will probably ring true.

The Technique Junkies Christmas Mug Shot stamp used here was layered over s background that was created with distress inks blended through the Messy Diamond Grid Stencil with Blending Brushes. I had no idea that the Antique Linen ink would almost glow against the Kraft paper background.  I think it is a really cool effect!

Christmas in July: Red or White

Today's Technique Junkies' Christmas in July card is brought to you by...wine. I like a nice glass during the holidays...and, like the stamp Red or White Christmas, I am not all that picky!  I thought it was fitting to use the Peppermint Swirl background with the fun nature of this card, Normally I use that background in a more, um, sober manner, but it works here, no?

Christmas in July: Seasons Greetings Holly

Today's Christmas in July card uses the Technique Junkies Season's Greetings Set for both the background and the sentiment. My holly was colored with alcohol markers -- they just pop off the Kraft paper, don't they? I love the elegant simplicity of this card. Christmas in July: The perfect Christmas Cocktail

Hi all! We are in the midst of Christmas in July at Technique Junkies (you can read the details HERE) and I have a fun card today!

Today's card uses the Christmas Cocktail stamp in the foreground. I colored the image with colored pencils, blended them with Gamsol, then I went over the entire cocktail portion with the Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Marker to add overall clear shimmer.

The background is a white piece of paper that was sprayed with Just Squeezed and Thulian Pink Shimmering Bliss. I dried that with a heat tool, then lightly stamped the Chevron background stamp with clear embossing pad, then embossed it with silver. I wanted a fun distressed llook in the background and I am really happy with how it turned out!
