August Sketch and Blog Hop!

Hi! Welcome to the final stop of the August 2010 Technique Junkie Newsletter Blog Hop. I hope you arrived here from Chris Dickinson's blog (and I hope her gorgeous Zig-Zag Accordion Card Inspired you!) , but if you didn't, take a minute or two to join us at the beginning of the Hop on the TJ Design Team Blog HERE. You won't want to miss all of the stunning artwork the designers have in store for you!

My card on the final leg of this stop uses the sketch from the August issue, of course. I used the Pencil and Ink Technique (also from the August Newsletter)  for the top panel. I also used the Soft and Sparkly Technique in the middle of the flower on the front of the panel, too! I love how soft, pretty and feminine this card turned out! The Background with the Pencil and Ink uses the Engraved Flower stamp from Alluring Impressions. I think it is one of the most versatile backgrounds I have in my stamp studio! All of the other stamps are from Stampin' Up!.

Okay, now are you ready to try the design? If you do, I will enter your name in a drawing for the following:
 This Package includes:
  • Two Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps, a collection of colored brads and matching Prima flowers courtesy of Beth Norman and Sunflowers and Dragonflies;
  • The Art Parts Stamp Set from Stamper's Anonymouse by Wendy Vecchio Courtesy of Croppinsville;
  • The Forest Life Stamp Set from Two Nancys Art Stamps; and
  • The Artsy Mini Book Shape Series - Circle  from Innovative Stamp Creations.
PLUS the winner will be featured from September 15th through October 1st on the Technique Junkie Newsletter Artwork-Only home Yahoo home page!
To enter, simply email your submission to me at phuntoon@optonline.net.  You do need to be a Techique Junkie to enter, and you need to use ONE technique on your submission to be eligible. Submit your entry by September 14th.

Thanks for playing -- I can't wait to see your interpretation of the sketch!

Weekly Giveaway -- Croppinsville!

Not only a Giveaway -- but a Sneak Peek at an April 2010 Technique Junkie Technique, too! I consider myself a pretty enthusiastic person. I get excited pretty easily, and I approach life with gusto.  So when I am really excited -- I mean, like, over-the-moon excited, it is really something!  Today's giveaway from Croppinsville makes me feel that over-the-moon excitement!

First, I love the card I made. I used the Masked Spellbinder's Technique that will be coming out in a day or two in the April 2010 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter. I used the Wendy Vecchi/Stampers Anonymous Art Parts Stamps -- the stamps part of the giveaway -- for my masked area. That is topped with Tim Holtz's Type Charms, and then these REALLY cool metal flowers that I painted with Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers. I ADORE this card. That probably sounds a little less-than-humble, but I think it is good to really love what you do sometimes, don't you?

In any case...back to the giveaway. All of the items in this giveaway are from Allie Gower and  Croppinsville. There is so much in this giveaway that I couldn't even use it all on my card!
  • Wendy Vecchi/Stampers Anonymous Art Parts Stamps AND
  • Tim Holtz's Type Charms AND
  • Ranger's Distress Crackle Paint in Clear Rock Candy AND
  • Ranger's Distress Stickles in Picket Fence AND
  • Custom made Metal Flower and Stem parts from Croppinsville. You can find them HERE (they are listed under Allie Gower on the site's product  listing) These are the coolest part of this whole giveaway! They are unique, dimensional, and to be honest with you, Allie is selling them on the Croppinsville site for a SONG. If you have not been there to see these, take my word for it, they are worth getting excited about!!!!
  • Oh yeah -- you will get my card, too.
Here is a picture of today's loot:
See why i am excited?
So here is what you need to do to enter for this giveaway. Leave your name and email address (try this format p huntoon at optonline dot net for phuntoon@optonline.net -- it is a way to reduce spam!) in a comment on my blog by Monday, March 29th. My random number generator will pick someone randomly. If you are the lucky winner, I will notify you Monday and send the loot right out to you! Make sure you leave your email address though -- if you not, I may have to pick a different name, and you will miss out!  You do not need to be a Technique Junkie Member to enter the giveaway. Good Luck!

Weekly Giveaway: Tim Holtz from Croppinsville!

Wow, this is some giveaway! The lucky winner of this giveaway, which is being sponsored by Croppinsville, will receive the card above, the items below, AND a $25.00 gift certificate from Croppinsville!

A little about the card...I used the Tim Holtz/Stamper's Anonymous Stamps from Croppinsville to create a Collage card (TJ Newsletter June 2006 issue). I layered the collage over some of the gorgeous double-sided papers from the giveaway, and topped it off with one of the tags from the tag sheet. I colored St. Nick with Copic Markers and added dimension to the tag with Crystal Effects on the holly. You may have to click on the image to see the details!

Okay, here are the items coming to the winner -- along with a $25.00 gift certificate to Croppinsville:

In addition to all of this, if you add THIS ITEM to your cart, you will receive free canvas flowers -- with the directions on how to use them. Croppinsville is a TJ vendor -- and everything is 25% off! Check out the website today!

To enter this giveaway, simply leave a comment by Monday, November 9th at 9am EST. The winner will be selected on Monday morning. Make sure that you leave enough information so that I can contact you to let you know you won. Just a reminder that Blogger does NOT leave me your email address. A great way to do this is to leave your email address in a spelled-out way, such as "p huntoon at optonline dot net." I will use my handy random number generator to pick the winning entry. You do NOT need to be a TJ subscriber to win. Good Luck!

Congratulations to Lou Fay, the lucky winner of this giveaway!
