I always have my pens...

Pens Pens Pens. You set one down, you lose it. It was like that in our Stamp Show booth UNTIL we added the Paper Rose Pen Set from the Great Gifts CD. Now we never lose a pen!

This makes a great teacher's gift, a gift for an officemate, or even just one for your own desk.

Hope you have a great day!

Great Gifts Super Blog Hop

It's a super hop! Today we have a joint blog hop between The Technique Junkie Newsletter, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and Eclectic Paperie. We are celebrating the three companies with what each of us does best! We are using Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and paper/embellishments from eclectic Paperie to make an item from one of the 40 tutorials on the Technique Junkie Newsletter's Great Gift CD.

My post shows an example of the Flapped Matchbook Gift Box from the Great Gifts CD. The gift box is one of the 40 step-by-by-step tutorials on the CD, and is only $14.95 .  I love this box; is is a great size and holds quite a bit. Decorating it was easy, too, with Baby's Circus Stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The Lily Bee Design - Persnickety Paper and all the gorgeous flowers, buttons, and other embellishments are all from eclectic Paperie. (click on either image to enlarge it).

In addition to all of the beautiful artwork from the 16 people participating, we have prizes!
Each of the companies will be giving away a prize randomly drawn from their designers' blogs as follows:
  • EP: 25% discount on a future order
  • SNSS: $15 store credit
  • TJN: Great Gifts CD or any TJN CD of winner's choice
The winners will be posted on each company's blog by Sunday, December 9th.  To be included in the prize drawings, please comment by midnight Friday, December 7th.

A little about each of the companies participating:

You're the star -- day 16

So...a Star Box. I had an idea that wanted to create one, then teach you how to do it. That is exactly what we do on the Great Gifts CD. The Star Box is one of the 40 PDF tutorials that you can print and take to your craft area to make yourself! I happen to have a star die, but I know that many of YOU may not, so I show you have to make the box WITHOUT the die. Isn't this a cute little box to fill with tags to take to a hostess over the holidays? Or to fill with candies to give to a little actor or actress after a performance? I just love this box!

Today we are officially halfway through our birthday celebration, and I have a "commenter's choice" for you today. The lucky winner of today's giveaway has the chance to pick any CD that I offer or a year's subscription if they win.  simply leave a comment on this post, with your email address, and my lucky random number generator will select one winner.

Good luck!
Congratulations to Debi Squires - the winner of the CD of her choice!

The mug is decorated using stamps from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company. It is one of the THREE stamp sets that is being given away today! Here is a view of all three:

Birthday Bash, Day Five: SNS Gift Certificate

Today is the fifth day or our birthday celebration, and, of course, one we have another giveaway. This is a "Great" one!

First, the Pocket Post-It Note Pad, shown above, is one of the tutorials from the Technique Junkie Newsletter's Great Gifts CD. This easy tutorial is wonderful for when you just want to give something small.  The beautiful stamps I used on the cover of the Note Pad are from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Season of Change. That brings me to the other "Great" part of this post!

The giveaway today is for a $15.00 Gift Certificate from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! SNS has a great variety of beautiful stamps, and one lucky winner will have the chance to go shopping. Just leave your name and email address with your comment on this blog post; my random number generator will select one winner tomorrow. Good luck!

One last thing, I am thrilled that I am playing in the Blogger's Challenge this week, too, with the theme "falling for you". Hope to play next week, too!

Updated: the winner of the gift certificate is Alice A! Congrats!

Happy Birthday Technique Junkies!

Well, we did it! TEN YEARS. I started the Newsletter in October 2002 and here we are 10 years later! Ten year of newsletters under our belts. Lots of techniques, lots of fun!

So, what better way to celebrate our birthday month -- let's do a giveaway every day during the month of October! And what better to give away than the GREAT GIFTS CD.

The Candy Nugget Layer Cake shown above is one of the 40 Gift tutorials on the CD. Isn't this a fun gift to bring to a friend for their birthday (who doesn't love chocolate!)? Kids love it too, and think how cute this is Halloween themed. So much fun!

The CD is $14.95, and can be ordered on my side bar or from HERE. The Great Gifts page has an picture index of each of the gift items that are in the CD, too, so you can see exactly what is on there.

Now, one lucky person will win the CD! If you order the CD today and win, or if you have already ordered it, you can receive your money back OR get another CD in it's place. Your choice!

To enter, simply leave a comment on my blog, and make sure to include your email address. I will be posting the winner tomorrow morning at 10am -- so I can make way for tomorrow's giveaway!

Happy Birthday to us!

Update: Congratulations to Robbie Rubala -- she is the winner of the Great Gifts CD!

Great Gifts CD Blog Hop!

Today's project is in celebration of the launch of the NEW Great Gifts CD from The Technique Junkie Newsletter! The CD contains 40 paper crafting projects with gifts for all occasions. There are boxes, bags, surprises and even explosions on this CD! The CD is just $14.95 plus postage. A full list of what is on the CD – with pictures of each project – is available http://techniquejunkies.com/great-gifts-cd.html

If you started here, you may want to head back to the Design Team blog, so  you can see all of the gorgeous artwork from the beginning. If you arrived here from Shelly Schmidt's blog, you are in the right place! Wasn't all the artwork a treat?

The project I am featuring from the CD is the Wedding Cake Explosion Box. I had seen this box using a die cut for the cake (or square cakes) -- which I don't have --  and I was inspired to create a tutorial for making everything by hand. I love how this turned out! I know I was successful -- my 17 year old son told me it was the "coolest thing I had ever made." Even he loves to close the box and reopen it.  High praise from a boy who hasn't stamped with me since he was seven!

In any case, when I created the explosion box, I made sure to include a space in the box for adding a check or money, plus a spot to write a personal note to the bride and groom.  And hey, who says this has to be a Wedding Cake? How about making a birthday cake instead?

It's easy to order the CD, too! Use the link below to order.
