Another Always Thankful card, this one with a Woodland Wonders background. It is so November-y! The woodland scene was colored with colored pencils.

Leafy Always Thankful

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, I am trying to keep my blessings in mind even though we cannot share the day with as many family and friends as we may have in the past.

My card today is a reminder to remember just that. My Always Thankful stamped sentiment tops a background made with an ancient Cuttlebug folder from my stash. I rubbed the embossed image with Forest Moss Distress Oxides, added a little to the edges and inside, and topped that off with Technique Junkies Mixed Metals Shimmering Bliss. It is super shimmery in person!

Pine Bough for Christmas

This is one of the Christmas Cards I am making this year. Since we all have a little extra time on our hands, it is a good time to resurrect a tradition we all love - Christmas Cards! I think last year was the first year I skipped in many, but this year I am back at it, full force. It is one of the positive benefits of the pandemic!

The Pine Bough stamp was colored with colored pencils and tops the Dotted Merry Christmas stamp. Very simple, with the twine in the center, but somehow peaceful. Hope you are making headway on your cards!

A cup of love with my friends

One of the things I miss the most during this pandemic is the ability to sit in a coffeeshop with my friends to share our lives over cups of brown liquid gold and just laugh. When we get back to normal, this is way up on my to-do list!  My simple card uses the Love Laughter and Coffee stamp embossed in cream over a cream background that was stamped in brown with the Coffee Stains Stamp.

What do you look forward to when the pandemic is over?

Woodland Wonders on Kraft

Breathe Deep. Reach High. Be full of life. All good things to remember in life! The Technique Junkies Advice from the Forest card celebrates that good advice. On this card we show it off with the Woodland Wonders background stamp. Colored Pencils were used to add a little extra to some of the flora and fauna, too.

My coffee kitty truth

Yup. Me in the morning. I am grateful to have a hubby to bring it to me every day while I am still in bed!

I love the way the distress oxide inks create a gorgeous background, then layer so nicely using the Technique Junkies Coffee Bean Stencil. The Coffee Kitty and the I've Had My Coffee stamps are both from Technique Junkies, too.

Dimensional pine bough

Creating dimension with a layered stencil? Yes Please! The new TJ Pine Bough stamp was combined with one of the stamps from the Seasons Greetings stamps for pine perfection. This one-layer card uses the ACL Marvelous Masks deckled rectangle stencil with distress oxide inks to create our dimensional illusion.

I am creating a tutorial (and kit) for this style of one-layered cardmaking - watch your inbox soon!

cardinal from heaven

So many people I know attach meaning to seeing animals and especially birds to lost love ones. Personally, I see my mother when I see a cardinal, and I believe I am not the only one! I create this Cardinal from Heaven stamp in homage to her. I always feel like it is a sign that I am on the right track, or sometimes, that things will be okay.

Remember that the November stamps are 15% off through November 8th.

November 2020 New Stamp and Stencil Release

Today is release day at Technique Junkies, and we have 15 new stamps and 2 new stencils for you! And, as usual, they are 15% off through November 8th, too!

Today I am going to highlight artwork form the stencils from the release! Here are a few samples for you:

The first sample uses the new Champagne Flutes stencil with the New Year New Hope stamp. I used Glitter Paint through the stencil and this is just super sparkly and gorgeous in person!

The card above was made using the Coffee Beans stencil with the Love Laughter and Coffee Stamp. Some days my life revolves around coffee!
I know the Perk Up Soon focal image here was released previously, but I couldn't help but to show you how great the Coffee Beans Stencil was with the Glitter Paint, too. Plus - I used the Coffee Stains stamp on the top portion of this card!

And finally, I have a Hanukkah release this month. One set of sentiments (one for the inside and one for the outside of the card) called Happy Hanukkah, set of 2, plus one background stamp with Judaic images called Judaica background. I LOVE finally having stamps to make cards for my Jewish friends!

The TJ Design Team has banded together to inspire you with artwork from the new release, too. Here are the links to their beautiful designs:
