WWDB Week 4 - Final Day!

Today is the last day of the What We Do Best Challenge, and I have a fun card to share with you today! I used the S743 Make Lemonade background with the SD778 Call the Girls stamp as a focal image.  I had to modify the stamp, just a little bit, as a sign of the times -- I am calling the girls ON ZOOM.  We're having a zoom cocktail party!

Thanks for playing along with this 4 week challenge. I loved seeing your artwork this month and look forward to having another challenge for you again in another few weeks. Stay healthy!
Best regards,

WWDB Week 4: Typewriter Encouragement

Today's encouragement card uses the Typewriter Set  as a focal image. I love this set - it contains the typewriter along with  different sentiments that fit into the paper - it works for  many occasions and cards. I thought the "It's Going to be Alright" sentiment was perfect for this week's theme. The background uses the Fat Smudged Lines stamp with different Distress Inks blended over the background using Blending Brushes. I am really happy with how this came out!
Have a great day,
Pat

WWDB Wk 4: How strong you are

Today's card for the What We Do Best Encouragement Cards challenge uses the How Strong You Are Stamp. The butterfly wings were colored with Nuvo Glitter Markers, making them super-shiny! To create the background, I used the Showy Blooms Stencil that has Mardi Gras Shimmering Bliss sprayed through it. It has amazing shine in person!
Have a great day!

WWDB Week 4 Encouragement - Bird and Letter Collage

We are in week 4 of the What We Do Best Challenge, and this week's theme is Encouragement cards. Today I have a card that uses the Bird and Letter Collage Background, with a Modern Encouragement Sentiment. The Bird and Letter Collage is stamped using Toner Ink from the Heidi Swapp Ink Toner Kit and Raspberry Heat Transfer Foil was added. The Dare to Begin sentiment uses Holograhic HTF.  Ink was blended around the edges of the card to make the foil pop.

Remember that we are giving a $50.00 gift certificate away this week again to a randomly selected participant! Join us - we would all love to see what you make!

WWDB Week 3: Sunflowers Thinking of you

Ready for some sunshine? Sunflowers always remind me of sunshine, so they are perfect for today's WWDB Thinking of You card. I used the Sunflowers Duo for the front of my card, and the Single Sunflower for my envelope.  They are cheerful, bright and sunny! To make them even more cheerful, I sprayed them with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper - they look like they were stamped on expensive iridescent paper in person. I think you can see the shimmer a little better in this picture:

I hope your day is filled with Sunshine!

May 2020 New Stamp Release Celebration

It's release day! This is always my favorite day of the month because I can show off all our "goodies!"  Today we have 15 very special stamps for you. All of the new stamps may be found in the May 2020 New Stamp Release category, and are 15% off through May 8th.

The design team is joining me in celebrating the release, and links to their blogs, with their artwork, are below. Please take a few minutes to see what they have made from the new release - their artwork is very inspiring.
I had a blast creating with these stamps! Let me show you some of the things I made:
Patti Gilliam
Judy Jackson
Lynda Pleckan

My first card, above, uses the Tulip with Text background stamp. I colored my tulip with Copic markers and highlighted certain parts with Pearlescent watercolors. It is very shimmery in person - here is a close-up:

Next I had some fun combining the Old Man stamp with the Inside out: Old Fart set. The Old Fart set is so much fun because it offers a little snarky surprise on the inside of the card (as do all the Inside Out sets). If you love this old man, you might want to also take a look at the Life is Short stamp - he pairs perfectly with that, too. Here is the outside, and the inside, of the card:

Next., my cat card. I used the A Little Black Cat stamp and cut it out.  This stamp amazed me. I stamped it ONCE with Versafine black ink to get this coverage. That is the effect of no added chemicals in our stamp making process - nothing comes between you and the stamp.

The background of this stamp is grey, black, white and silver washi tapes.  It couldn't have been simpler!

Next, I used the Rose Circles stamp as a background with the words Simply and Enjoy from the Five Fab Phrases set:

And finally today, I used the No-one Will Notice stamp as a focal image over the previously-released Itoh Peonies stamp...just for fun!

So that is all for ME today.I hope you enjoy the work from the TJ Team:
