Day4 - the 30 days of Christmas

Today we continue with the 30 Days of Christmas with a card that is quite traditional. I paired the Vintage Star (#S373) with the Christmas Words Set (#SS029) to create a simple panel. The Vintage star was stamped and heat embossed on a gold lustre panel, then matted in navy. I stamped the Peace sentiment in gold, embossed it, then highlighted the letters with blue marker.
Don't forget, by using the code XMAS15, there is a 15% discount on  ALL the Technique Junkies stamps until December 10th. Have a great day!

30 Days of Christmas, Day 3

Welcome back to the 30 days of Christmas! Today is day 3 and I am here to show you a stamp set that is in my stamp line that I used to hate! Yep, you read that right. When I acquired the Stamp Camp line a year ago, I was in love with most of the stamps in the existing line, but some of them were not my style. Or so I thought.
Then I started to play with them. With this set, the Christmas Stencil Set, in particular. Now I have to make an effort to put this set aside, because I have made several cards with it for the 30 days of Christmas and I have so many more sets to show you!
Today's card is the simplest I have made from this set:
An easy card, really. The set is $13.95 and comes with the Christmas icons (snowflake, tree, etc), along with a solid square and a solid circle:
Along with that set, I added the Merry Christmas Sentiment from the Simple Sentiments set:
Remember to use the discount code: XMAS15 to get 15%off of these stamps, along with all the stamps on my site, for the next 27 days.  Have a great one today!

Day 2 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Today is Day 2 of the 30 days of Christmas! Our card today uses non-traditional colors. The Technique Junkies  Peace on Earth Stamp (#SD429) was stamped in black over a piece of Gelato-colored cardstock, and matted on top of a background that uses the Big Swirls Stamp (#S427) that was stamped in black. I traced the swirls somewhat with a green marker to highlight them.

The Gelato-colored cardstock was made by placing several Gelato colors directly on a craft mat, spriting it with water, then smooshing the cardstock into the colors to pick them up.  Its an incredibly easy way to add intense color to cardstock.

Remember, all Technique Junkies Stamps are 15% until December 10th by using the code XMAS15.
See you tomorrow!

Introducing...the 30 Days of Christmas

Please join me for the next 30 days as we celebrate Christmas through the joy of the handmade Christmas card!  Each day, from today through December 10th, the Technique Junkies design team and  I will be posting a card using Technique Junkies stamps celebrating the holiday season. In addition to the cards, I am offering a 15% discount on the entire Technique Junkies stamp site for the next 30 days!  Make your Christmas list and get shopping! All of the TJ Christmas stamps may be found HERE:
http://www.stampcamp.com/christmas.html

Today's card:
This card features a black embossed Christmas Dove stamp (S471) with a silver background. The dove was colored with metallic rub-ons, along with several areas on the background.. The black banner features the christmas sentiment from the Simple Sentiments Set (Set1, Style c). I love that set - it is not easy to find vertical sayings and I have plenty of them!

Okay now, go take a look at the stamps. The discount code for 15% off is XMAS15 (all caps).  I hope you will plan on joining us for the next 30 days! There will be more surprises and savings throughout the month.

Welcome to the HOP!

It's a blog hop! Today we are celebrating the NEW Sensational Stencils CD. If you started here, I urge you go to back to the Design Team home page now, so that you can see all of the gorgeous creations from the TJ team. The art they created is just stunning -- you will love it! If you arrived here from Shelly's blog, you are in the right place.

The art above shows the Gelatos Wipe Technique from the Sensational Stencils CD. It is one of the 40 tutorials on the CD. My goal with this CD was to help you use your stencils and masks creatively to complement all of your artistic projects. It is $14.95 and can be ordered HERE.

Both stamps used are from the Technique Junkies Stamps line. The Tree with Two Birds stamp (SD403) may be found HERE, and the Sentiment is from the Wings Quotes Set (S423) and can be found HERE.

If you would like to see everything on the CD, the Table of Contents is HERE.

Here is a full list of the hop, in case you need it:

A Tree in the Sunset

I just love Gelatos! This piece was created using the Distressed Fingerpainting Technique from the Artistic Effects CD. Coloring this image took less than 5 minutes! Of course, the stamp is Sunset Tree from Technique Junkies.

If you live near Fort Wayne IN, please come to the Stamp Show this weekend! I will be demoing this technique, along with 4 or 5 other Gelato and Goosebump techniques, at the show. I would love to meet you! Click HERE for details on the show.

Make sure you stop by tomorrow! We will be celebrating a brand new CD: Sensational Stencils with a blog hop starting at 8am.  The hop will begin on the Design Team Blog and end here. You are in for a visual feast! Don't tell anyone, but you can actually order your copy of the CD today using the link on this page. All CDs ordered this week will be mailed next Tuesday, when I get home from Fort Wayne. I am picking up the CDs on the way!

On a Personal Note:
I can hardly believe that it has been July 15th since my last post!

There are a multitude of reasons for that; the first and foremost one is that my youngest son was diagnosed with cancer the last week of April. My summer was dedicated to his treatment, of course, with very little time dedicated to the Technique Junkies businesses. I am thrilled to tell you that he is now in college (Northeastern University in Boston), and is in remission.  Many of you who follow my Facebook page know this news, of course, but I thought a quick acknowledgement would be in order for anyone who doesn't know. I have spent the last 30 days catching my breath and catching up. I will be more diligent in posting from this point forward, I promise!
