Give Away a Day, Day 29

Again we will have two more items to give away to celebrate the Technique Junkie Newsletter's 5th anniversary!

Happiest of anniversaries, Junkies! Five years, 400 techniques. By far, the MOST extensive one-source library of step-by-step tutorials that exists anywhere. If you are a visitor and you have not subscribed, what are you waiting for? Let me give you a little incentive: New subscribers, if you subscribe to the issues from 10-07 through 12-08, I will send you the 10-07 issue Free. Free. That is a $3.00 savings! So, $21.00 for the issues from 10-07 through 12-08. Hurry, though, I am only offering this until Friday, November 2nd! There will NOT be any extensions on this deadline. US addresses only. Email me for an invoice if you are interested.

Subscribers, why don't you tell us in your comments why you love being a Technique Junkie? If each of you tells one other person today about the newsletter (and the special), that would be the best anniversary present you can give me.

Okay, thank you for allowing me to put a "commercial" up -- I figure with all these give aways, I am allowed a commercial : ) On with the give aways for today!

Our first give away is from one of the most generous sponsors of this Month's anniversary celebration -- I Brake for Stamps. I don't know about you, but this company has become one of my favorites! One lucky winner of the Give Aways will receive these two stamp sheets, and the card shown here. I Brake for Stamps has donated more than their share of Give Aways for us -- why don't you go over to Della's website and show your appreciation?

The eye-candy that goes with this Give Away uses I Brake for Stamps with the Scrunchie Technique from the October 2007 issue of the Newsletter. I stamped directly on the background and colored the image with markers, then removed some of the color with a blender pen. I like the effect- very "copic-esque."

Our next Give Away is another fabulous gift certificate from our friend Elaine at Integrity Designs. The lucky winner of this part of the Give Away will receive a $25.00 (Canadian) gift certificate to go shopping on the Integrity Designs website! With the favorable exchange rate, that is one great Give Away! Integrity Designs carries many of my favorite Stamp lines -- Innovative Stamp Creations, Time to Stamp, Non-Sequitur Stamps, Starving Artistamps, and many many more. Thank you, Elaine, for this generous Give Away! Have fun shopping, ladies.

The eye candy that goes along with this card was made using Time to Stamp images from the Beach Memoirs sheet. The background is the Watered Tintz technique from the December 2006 issue of the TJ Newsletter. The shells were colored with pastels and then covered with diamond glaze (CE) to add dimension. This card will be sent to the gift certificate winner.

Remember, there will be two winners chosen from the entries - one for each prize. Good luck! ANYONE can enter. One entry per person, per daily give away please. To enter the give away for today, simply leave a comment on this blog entry telling me that you would like to enter by 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, October 30th. No other entry methods will be included in the give away. If you email me to enter, your entry will NOT be considered a valid entry. When you leave the comment, make sure to put your NAME in the comment -- if you enter your comment as "Anonymous", I cannot give you the prize! Blogger does NOT record your email address for me, so you will need to check back to find out if you have won or include your email address in your comment so that I can notify you. I will have a random number generator pick two numbers from the comments to select two winners. Each give-away is separate, so to be eligible for a specific item you must enter that day's contest on the post where it is listed.Check back every day during the month of October for the daily giveaway -- you can enter EVERY day! A fabulous Grand Prize will be offered on the last day of the month, too. Enter today -- good luck!

Today's winners are: Kat Merryman, who has won the I brake for Stamps Sheets, and Debbie Ebat, who has won the Gift Certificate from Integrity Designs. Congratulations, ladies!

Ok well this is the second time I've entered, but I've told a LOT of people about Technique Junkies in another art group that I moderate. It's one of the best ways to learn new techniques with the supplies you have and to learn about neat supplies that I've never heard of before. The newsletters are so beautifully done that they are a treasure to hold and look through. I learned about TJ through people that shared their works in the Club Stamp group and I still recognize some of those names come through even though I no longer have the TJ group. My own group keeps me so busy that I have pared down all my groups except TJ and the one I moderate. I love watching the beautiful work come through my email and am inspired by the creativity. Thanks for it all, Pat, and please do include me in today's drawing :) Pat Walker

Pat, I've been with you since Volume 1 Issue 1, with the scrap experiment and more. I've loved being part of TJ all this time and can't recommend it enough to my friends and clients. Compared to all the stamp magazines out there (and they get fewer every day) your newsletter is a high value item with ideas and inspirations with stamps I actually use. I don't know where you keep coming up with all these fabulous ideas, but all I can say is, keep it coming!

What I'm loving about the TJ info is that I, too, can learn the best from the best. I can no longer go to conventions, or visit huge stores, all because of a foot injury that has me sidelined. I like being a Junkie because of all the new ways to use stuff I've bought through the years, the inspiration from others' works, and the "excuse" I need to go buy more goodies so I can do new techniques.

When I make a card using a technique, I post it here and on the groups that exist for The Angel Company demonstrators. I always indicate where I learned the technique and try to provide a link to Pat's site. I'll try to make a technique card today and post accordingly! Thanks!

Argh! That's twice I sent you my comment and it was blown away when I hit enter. Dial up is lousy.
Anyway, after writing how much I enjoyed TJ and how amazed I was how the techniques go on and on each month and had this long note praising everything and everybody that has sent me samples of their work (I know I owe you some back), I'm just hitting send again. ;>)
Enter me, please. Carol

Thanks so much for the prize! What a wonderful suprise in my mailbox this morning. Perfect way to start off Monday! I can't wait to see the card, I was going to try the Cuttlebug technique next time I worked on cards and now I'll have a professional example right in front of me!

Thanks again,
Cindy

I'm a recent subscriber to the TJ Newsletter. I love the print copies of the techniques! A lot of time and effort goes into making the information in print and online valuable and inspiring to stampers. The TJ Yahoo group is also a great source of information and inspiration. Can't go wrong.

Please count me in for today's drawing. Thanks, Pat!

I love receiving the newletter every two months! What a treat to find it in the mailbox! The techniques are fabulous, the instructions are well-done, but the best part is the pictures. I'm visual, and the pictures do it for me. I can see what the technique "can" look like! I put "can" in quotes b/c mine don't always turn out the "right" way!!
Thanks for the great job, Pat. Please enter me in today's giveaway!

The TJ newsletter is a fabulous find for a stamper, particularly the new stamper. When I found it I had only one technique put ink on stamp and press stamp on paper - period! Now I get to try new techniques every month - always fun! Pat, I just can't believe that there is still a steady stream of techniques!!!! I have a library to help me when I get stuck or inspiring me when I feel adventurous! What a buy at the price!

I would love to brake for stamps or have integrity by the way!

For those of you who don't know... 5-6 years ago Pat was getting so many hits on her fabulous website that it kept getting shut down and she needed a way to raise funds to keep it running and expand it! This newsletter was her solution... and to think she's been doing it for 5 years! What an achievement! I'm happy to be one of the very first subscribers to this wonderful newsletter and to support my friend and awesomely talented lady, Pat!

I love being a TJ because there is always something new to learn and you can learn at leisure , there's not the pressure of time constraints classes often have... oh I could go on but I don't want to take up all the blog space! lol

I would like to enter by 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, October 30th.

I love being a TJ because it gives me inspiration and sparks my creativity. It's gotten me to step out of the box and try things I didn't even know existed. Pat's creativity and her awesome design team inspire me to a new level. I share this fabulous resource with everyone I meet (that's into stamping). Thanks for opening so many creative doors for me. I wouldn't be the same without TJ!!

Wow, both of todays' give aways are awesome!

Why do I love the TJ Newsletters? They have helped me grow (and stretch) as a stamper. They allow me to use supplies I currently have (as well as encourage me to buy MORE!) LOL! I believe that the techniques have helped me mature as a stamper since I now have more options on finishing my cards (and scrapbook pages) than just coloring. (Not that coloring is bad, just more options) :)

Thanks Pat (and crew) for all that you do!

As for the TJ Newsletter - you are definitely missing out if you aren't a subscriber! I love having the techniques at my fingertips with examples. The website offers even more samples and the tutorials are the best for those of us (myself included) who like to have pictures to go along with each step! Thanks for a great newsletter!!
