Friday's Blogger's Challenge

This week's Blogger's Challenge was to use the card on page 108 of Stampin' Up!'s new Idea Book and Catalogue for inspiration. I have to say, I am not very good at copying and stealing because my submission looks NOTHING like the original! I just have to put my own spin on it, I guess. Maybe I will go back to the drawing board and try again...I like this card, in any case!

Stamps: Stampin' Up!, Baroque Motif; White, Blush Blossom and Not Quite Navy Inks and Cardstock; White Gel Pen; Ribbon.

Oh -- the winner of the snowflake card from Last week was randomly drawn from the comments. Congrats, Susan! I will mail your card out tomorrow.

Would you like the card above? Leave a comment on this post this week, and I will post the winner next Friday.

Oh I just LOVE this card.
Browns and black are some of my favorites, so rich looking.
Great creation! I put it in my favorite card folder.

Pat you did a fantastic job on the challenge. I think it's funny that so many of us ended up using the same set for our cards! I like the colors and the little accent pieces on your ribbon. Ida

Very pretty! I like the flourish and the way you put the flower in different spots on the front.

Pat,

You are indeed an inspiration. I have wanted to start a blog but haven't done it yet. I got stuck when I couldn't figure out how to create a neat blog banner with my blog name. Anyway an e-mail you sent me has inspired me to begin scrapbooking again. I have finished several pages since then. Thank you for your encouragement.

That's funny! I often start with "inspiration" (ie with CASEing), and it ends up very different from the original!
It's a beautiful card, though. I adore those colours, I've always loved browns and neutrals. I have the hardest time using brights!
And I love a more formal look like this, but still up to the minute in style.
Thanks for sharing your card so we can all see it!
Karen.

Gorgeous card Pat! I recently got this set but haven't played yet. I think I'm just intimidated because I've seen so many great cards, too much pressure! :D

Pat, great job, I love it. I haven't come up with anything great with this set, yet. I better hurry, though, I am using it for a stamp camp this week. :)
