Scrappin' Saturday: Zoo Layout
Since I scrapbook as often as I can on Fridays, I am starting a new feature here: Scrappin' Saturdays. I hope to display a new scrapbook page each Saturday from the previous week (or at least, something new to you!). I hope you enjoy this new feature!
This week's layout (you may have to click on it to make it larger and to get more detail) was of Zoo pictures from Cape May this summer. The giraffe is stamped (a close-up is on the right) using Close To My Heart Stamps. I did use the torn frame technique (December 2008 Technique Junkie Newsletter) on one of the mats, too. In addition, the title uses crackle paint from Tim Holtz -- I love this stuff. I especially like that I used my woefully neglected fibers to spruce up the title along the edge of the Z and the two O's! Here is a close-up of that:If you are so inclined, leave a comment and let me know whether you like this new feature!
Well, that's it for today -- thanks for sharing in my scrapbook adventures!

Awesome giraffe and layout. Like you, I love giraffes. It will be nice to see your regular layouts on Saturdays; we forget that techniques can be used in our books as well.
I really love how you used the crackle paint for the title. The texture actually reminded me of the giraffe! It's really nice to see the techniques used on other projects besides cards.
YES YES YES!
I like the idea of Scrappin Saturday and I love your layout and I like the inspiration to pull some fiber out of my vast collection and use it again.
I vote YES for regular scrapbook showoff stuff from Pat!
Beautiful layout. I'm so busy making cards and other things, I neglect my scrapbooking. Thanks for the motivation!

How awesome is that. I have some of that CTMH paper, I'll definitely want to scraplift!
Thank you for the inspiration.
You betcha! Great idea! I'm not a scrapper myself, but I like to see ideas on other things besides cards to remind me to expand my papercrafting horizons. I also like to see techniques used in different ways than I've seen before -- increases the likelihood of me having an AHA! moment and pulling out my supplies to experiment on projects of my own.
love it. I'm always on the lookout for scrapbook pages. There a way too much photo's I still have to scrap :)
What a great idea and I love the layout! I wish I had time to scrap every week! Kathy Eddy
I would love to see scrapbook Sat as a regular item. I am always looking for good scrapbook ideas. I just love this paper and stamp set from CTMH.
I love this new feature as I am an avid scrapbooker. I love seeing the different techniques you used on the layout as well.
Great scrapbook layout. I need to try and scrapbook more--but I'm usually too busy stamping.
Love the layout and the new feature on your blog! Can't wait to see more Scrappin Saturday posts.
Wonderful pages Pat! Love seeing stamping on pages.
Totally inspiring, Pat. I have been wishing for something like this, to help us us the techniques on Scrapbook pages. I forget to scrapbook, I am so busy playing with cards so that I can use the techniques, So yes!!! It's a keeper, I sure will be dropping by.
LOVE the layout and the paper you used especially since I'm a CTMH consultant and still have plenty of that paper to play with. I am more of a scrapbooker than cardmaker so please make Scrapbook Saturdays a regular feature! Thanks for sharing a great layout!
Yay! I've been hoping to see more of your techniques on scrap book pages. Hope you keep doing it!
Great layout, Pat. I don't scrapbook, but want to set up a memory type book with my parents, so I look forward to great ideas!
TFS!
Wonderful page - nice job Pat!

I so love your lay out and what a neat idea, scrapping on saturday's etc...I'll be sure to check each and every saturday to see what you do next. I love the things you did to the lay out. So neat.

I liked the layout. I don't do a lot of scrapbooking as I do not have time. My only suggestion is to give "close-ups" of the different areas of the page. I am sure this will also give us card ideas.

I like the idea! There are so many wonderful card and stamping ideas which I enjoy . . . but its hard to find a lot of blogs that also include scrapbooking. I vote yes too!
How's it going?
I just found your blog and I think it's great. I like reading personal blogs, and I find it a lot better than most other categories. Listen, I have a blog myself that provides inspiration and guidance to millions of people around the world. I would like us to do a link exchange and spread some traffic around. Let me know what you think.
