Take me out to the ball game...As the World Series approaches what could be more appropriate than a baseball-themed giveaway? Our giveaway this week is this wonderful rubber stamp sheet from Artistic Outpost:
In honor of the series, I made the vintage card, at top, using some of the images from the stamp sheet. The background is Embossed Crayon Resist using one of my shimmery copper Moonglow mist sprays (technique from the October 2009 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter). I just love how these stamps look with the background!

ReplyDeleteI would love to win this set..it would be perfect to do a collage honoring my father,who was a huge baseball fan! I remember when I was a little girl,he used to take my twin sister and I to Dodger Stadium,buy us a program,hot dogs,coke,popcorn and other goodies..stick his TRANSISTOR RADIO earplug in his ear,give us both a hug,and watch the game!! This was his idea of giving my mom a day off!!!(he also gave her a day off and would take us to Disneyland..I remember getting off the tram and they didn't..he drug my sister around asking if someone had seen a little girl just like her!! I was sitting at the lost parents area,just as i had always been taught to do..this was in 1960!!)..ah, memories!!!

Ohhhh! What a perfect stamp set for all of the cards I make for Operation Write Home! I'm a Rockies fan, so I lost interest after they lost in the playoffs. I really love your card & my 9 yr. old grandson really likes it too & said he wouldn't mind making cards with this set. Since he actually wants to make cards now, I'll have to get this set so I can keep him interested in stamping. His room is decorated in Rockies stuff, so this would also would be a good set to make room decor.
