Um...my sketch challenge for the Technostamper Sketch Challenge #9 is a tad bit late. Normally I post my rendition on Mondays -- but this week, it just didn't happen! One of those week, KWIM? This one was hard for me, at least until I actually started making the card -- then it was simple! This card has NO techniques on it (can you believe that?). I was actually concentrating on getting the stitch stamp straight. Have you ever seen Beate Johns' work? Her stitch stamping is always straight -- I don't know how she does it!
Sorry I am late, MJ : )
All supplies are Stampin' Up!
Pat! That is great, but what? No technique, what is up with that. I actually had to click on the picture a few times to see the stitching and still think it looks real, don't look like all in a row is that what is is? Great job. And by the way when you look up close not many really have straight stamped stitching -- your is though! Impressive. Thanks for hopping on late. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI love your card. I'd love see more cards made with just 'play on paper'. How'd you get the perfect diamond? I am looking for the perfect (altho more elongated diamond shape).
ReplyDeleteHere is another idea for you, based on your layout...
I saw one using this basic layout, only all the diamonds and 1/2 diamonds down the middle were using one colour cuttlebugged, then the spaces were also filled in with other diamonds and half diamonds with a complimentary colour that went well, also cuttlebugged and all pieced together. It was eye catching, diamonds were more elongated. I'm dying to try to case it, but don't have a proper elongated diamond.
What?? No technique?! huh?! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful springy card! Great job on your faux stitching. I can't get faux or real stitching straight. :P
